Pope Forgives John Lennon
Forty years after the pop stars death the Pope has forgiven John Lennon for a comment he made. The singer apparently stated that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ, which was probably correct. When one reads the descriptions of the life and times of the prophet this is most certainly the case. Never before in history were there so many people alive let alone hooked to an idol than at the time of this group. Of course the numbers have increased dramatically since and they are still an evergreen popular entity. So what was the Pope forgiving John Lennon for? The other problem with the story is why bring it up now and make such a fuss? Is it because the publicity it generates reinforces the claim that Jesus Christ was a real figure in history? The research and documentation, some from Vatican archives, prove he was not a real figure but that he was based on an ancient myth and rituals that continued in the Roman Empire until well into the 4th CAD.
